Unfortunately, it seems almost oxymoronical to talk about calm in the Middle East these days. However, I think it is important to remember that despite war in Syria, protests and violence in Egypt, and uncertainty plaguing the rest of the region, there are places completely untouched. Life goes on. People get up, go to work, hang out with friends, buy food at the market, and cook meals. One such place that seems to exist in juxtaposition to the news of the Middle East is Dahab, a small diving town on the east coast of the Sinai Peninsula. If you’re headed to Egypt, go check out Dahab and head to Sinai Divers (http://www.sinaidivers.com/english.htm) and tell Thorsten that Jesse sent you.
